This radical opposition between shadow and light evokes a fundamental tension, akin to yin and yang, where opposing forces coexist without cancelling each other out.

The body, both massive and vulnerable, occupies a space of silence and restraint. The closed posture and lowered gaze suggest a state of introspection, a presence suspended between strength and fragility. White here is not a symbol of idealized purity, but a sensitive material, marked by subtle traces that reveal memory and the imperfections of the living.

The surrounding black functions as a mental space, an active void that absorbs the gaze and reinforces the timeless quality of the figure.
